My name is Kenai Saphira.
Under the sapphire skies of Jackson Hole, I sprint through snow-laced trails, my paws pounding rhythm into earth. Humans marvel at the peaks, but I – the husky – feel their spirit. The cold is my cradle, the wind my friend. I herd laughter, chase shadows, and steal bacon bits from campfires. Elk watch me with ancient eyes, knowing I belong. At night, I curl beside my human, breath steaming in tandem. Wolves howl distant lullabies; and I answer, not as prey, not as pet, but as kin. Here in Wyoming, I’m more than a dog – I’m legend, fur-bound and free in a land carved for heartbeats like mine.
My pack calls me “Keen-Eye”. I am a Siberian Husky born on August 30, 2020 as a pandemic puppy. Since then, my pack began to spend more time outdoors. We live right near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. My pack leader explores adventures with me; writing about nature, and taking lots of photos. All of this has culminated into one big art project: the Teton Husky. My goal is to make the natural world more accessible to all; regardless of where you live. We trust you will encounter the adventure, photography, and writing in hopes you will feel the peace and healing that can come from living in the mountains.
We want to show you what it’s like to live in Wyoming.
Meet my Pack Leader:
Melanie loves the outdoors and strives to share the wilderness experience. She takes photos, takes me on hikes, writes about the adventures; and she now creates digital media to match all of the above. Adding a husky dog to her life has added a whole new realm of energy and fun to everything she does.
We endeavor to bring more knowledge, observation and joy to your outdoor exploration.
