So much gorgeous creek runoff raging from the snow melt during this time of spring transition… Tmrw is the solstice, bringing summer hope thru these waves of white water and sunshine. I never really have been a fan of water; I figured I must have drowned in a past life. I’m also Aquarius and so tired of bearing the water for all the others. But what I’ve learned over my life is to utilize the banks, the earth, the boundaries. Don’t just dump it all and release your own vitality; no, create a stream instead. A creek bed of gorgeous glittery things like heart rocks. Then pour forth your gifts from a place of beauty onto what you’ve created. So water’s growing on me. I’m really starting to enjoy it. The way it grounds us when we stick a toe in. Or listening to refreshing white noise of the rapids can be so relaxing. My next step is to get into the lake. Let’s see how that goes. Visiting the wetlands just off the shores of Phelps lake. This spot is gorgeous, might be my favorite! Bustling with life and diversity, this place is vibrant! There is so much energy from all the flying things and the amphibians of the pond. I love to experience how other creatures live amidst their own chaos and sunshine. It’s truly a sensual experience; listening sensing and feeling it all. It’s the perfect place to reflect on our own lives and purpose. Listening to what the feathered creatures have to tell us this early morning. The thrush has always been my favorite song, both the hermit and the swainson thrush live / migrate to Wyoming. So I finally was able to capture this piece for you all to listen to; amidst the raging snow melted creeks… volume up and listen closely. What do you hear? Exploring early morning into the upside down when the waters are calm and the reflections are pure. Nothing has happened yet, it’s the moment of waking when our eyes see the first light. I thought for sure the animals would visit us, amidst the mosquitoes and butterflies~ but all we connected with were the plant life. And there were some interesting spurts out there! Choosing some pieces to practice this afternoon is no easy feat. Too many choices and too little time means I had to leave it up to the dog. She ultimately chose the most beautiful breathtaking composition from the Baroque era. It is a movement from the harpsichord suite in G minor (HWV 432), with series of variations over a repeating bass line, also known as a “ground bass”. This musical form showcases the composer’s skill in creating melodic and harmonic variations while maintaining the underlying bass structure. This structure matches Kenai’s heartbeat. 💓 GORGEOUS! It was tight between Beethoven’s classic moonlight sonata; which she jumps to the front and center next to the floor board to feel the vibrations just like Beethoven did. Instead, she remained in her chair and chose a different piece today. You’ll have to listen to find out.
